PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
DAY 1 – CUSCO – CITY TOUR HD.
Transfer Airport - Hotel. Lodging and suggested rest to acclimatize to the altitude ( 2 to 3 hours).
Departure frm hotel at 14:00 hours. Tour through the city, visiting the Catedral, Koricancha Temple and the archaelogical centres surrounding Cusco, like Sacsayhuaman, Quenqo, Pucapucara, Tambomachay and the White Christ. Return at 6:30 p.m. free night.
DAY 2 - SACRED VALLEY FD.
Breakfast in hotel. This is a whole day tour covering a distance of approximately 120 miles. Departure from hotel at 9:00 hours. Guided visit to Pisac ( ruins and market). Then, we visit the Urubamba valley, where we will enjoy of a delicious rural lunch. Later, we reach Ollantaytambo Fortress, which was an architectonic, administrative, social, religious, military and agricultural complex. Finally, we will go to Chinchero, an Inca town, which shows the mixture of the native, and the Spanish people. We will appreciate its beautiful colonial Church and excellent paintings. Return to Cusco at 7:00 p m. Free night.
DAY 3 - MACHUPICCHU FD.
Breakfast in Hotel. Transfer Hotel – Train Station to begin a whole day guided visit to the Inca citadel. The legendary “Lost city of the Incas” remained, for hundreds of years, hidden in the jungla, begin just discovered in 1911 by Hiran Bingham. We will apréciate both, the urban and the agricultural zones, the civil buildings and water channels, the sacred zone ( temples, tombs, royal houses); we will also see the strong and powerful walls and enjoy the view of Huayna Picchu, jealous vigilant of Machu Picchu. Return to Cusco by train.
DAY 4 - TRASLADO HOTEL / AEROPUERTO HD.
A la hora convenida, traslado desde el hotel a Terminal o Aeropuerto.
