EASTER ISLAND 5D/4N

 

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

DAY 1 – ISLAND TRANSFER AIRPORT / HOTEL HD.
Arrival and reception at the airport with flower necklaces. Transfer to Hotel. Accommodation.

DAY 2 - EASTER ISLAND FD.
Continental Breakfast. Whole day excursion to Anakena. To visit an Ahu unrestored, Vaihu located in TE'E HANGA Bay on the southern coast of the island witnessed a destruction phase of a few centuries ago. Continuation to the region of AKAHANGA AHU, as legend has it that the famed tomb of King HOTU MATUA is located next to the Ahu. After arrival to one of the largest sites on the culture of Rapa Nui, the quarry Rano Raraku, which carved a total of approx. 900 statues, 397 of them lying down or standing still in various stages of their construction and transportation. Then, exit to the AHU TONGARIKI Renovated in 1995, with its 15-foot statues. The penultimate site being visited is the "Navel of the World", together with the AHU TE PITO KURA. Finally coming to the beach of Anakena, where there are 2 platforms, the AHU and AHU NAU NAU ATURE Huki, both restored. Time to relax on the beach with pink sand under palm trees. Picnic included. Then back to the hotel.

DAY 3 - EASTER ISLAND FD.
Continental Breakfast. Half day excursion to Orongo. During this excursion up the extinct volcano, Rano Kau, where you can see a view of the whole island with two coastlines and volcanoes and the town of Hanga Roa. The second observation deck that lets you appreciate the visit of the Rano Kau crater with its lake and after arrival at the ceremonial village ORONGO, where the ceremony was performed and the Birdman competition - Tangata Manu. Visit the AHU VINAPU with architecture that reminds us to the construction of pre-Inca peoples. At the end of this tour coming to Ana Kai Tangata cave where it is possible to see paintings. Return to the hotel.

DAY 4 - EASTER ISLAND FD.
Continental Breakfast. Visit Akivi platform, large platform composed by 7 Moais, all facing the sea. The seven statues reprensentan at 7 explorers who first came to the island to see if this was a good place for the Matu'a Hotu which came from Hiva.
We will also go to the cave called Ana Te Pahu cave or bananas. A place where life unfolded formerly Rapa Nui, with about 200 meters long. With vegetation even inside, and even called Umu Pae ovens. Besides going to the crater of Puna Pau, where he carved the Buns Pukao or also known of the moai, red stone as a decoration. From this point you can appreciate the current planting vegetables, and a beautiful Vust the town of Hanga Roa.

DAY 5 - EASTER ISLAND FD.
Breakfast in hotel. At agreed time, transfer to airport.
