Expedition will continue our drive to Chillguilla population in the north, from where you start the climb, even by car, to the Pucara. Starting a walk climb from 60 to 90 minutes to the impressive site of Pucara Chillima. It is an intimate corner of the Salt Lake landscape of incomparable beauty, but also a spiritual presence that emanates from the stone buildings of more than thousand years old, that make us think about how to live on ancestral populations. The views this time are the Salar Sensual (west), so little known by tourists, full of islands and bays. Return to the car in a drop of about 30 minutes.
It is advisable for those who enjoy walking, from the Pucara return to the hotel following a path that the ancients used to make ritual visits to the mystical center. This is a trekk of 2 hours 15 min., Thanks to the views of both the great Salt Lake and the volcano Thunupa, becomes a unique and unrepeatable (in this case must be organized with the guide). Lunch at the Hotel de Sal
In the afternoon our expedition will head for Bell Island, located in the most beautiful bay of the salt flat, where the route begins in these islands to Charagua with the dominant image of Caltama. Already in their skirts began his rise to Patauno, where we leave the car. This is an almost abandoned village that attracts attention for its high location and solitude. From there we will take a brief walk about 15 minutes to Caltama Lookout, from which you can see, map in hand, the entire salar: bays, islands, mountains that surround it. Finish the day went to San Pedro de Quemez, where people spend the night at tayka Stone Hotel with private bathrooms, hot water and heating. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner).

After breakfast we will appreciate, walking, the hotel environment: pens with flames that steal the attention of our camera, the chullpares of the first inhabitants, the village burned, with its stone uprisings that have inspired the construction of the Hotel. He was burned in the War with Chile, in 1879, is an unknown page official history. In the car we head to the nearby Refugio Pueblo, which was built when they fled the burning village, in a secret between the volcanic rocks of great size.
Leaving behind that piece of history and its remains, we will go to Galaxy Cave, a shrine of cacti and petrified stromatolite and a cemetery chullpas (ancestral burials). The cave has a strange underwater geological formation of the seasons of Lake Puss (300 thousand years ago) and Lake Tauca (40 thousand years).
