PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
DAY 1 - ARICA - SOCOROMA - PUTRE FD.
Departure from hotel at 09:00 hours. We will visit Asoagro market, large agricultural terminal located in the middle of the coastal desert. We will enter the Azapa Valley, Cerro Sombrero and La Tropilla geoglyphs, visit to San Miguel de Azapa archaeological Museum, which displays sand preserved mummies and pre-inca relics dating since 10.000 years B.C. entering Lluta Valley, visit Poconchile town with its church of the XVI century, Eco Truly community (vegetal lunch), Pukara de Copaquilla, hamlet of Zapahuira, visit to Socoroma town, short trekking. Then short stop at Putre view point. Arrival in Putre at 17:30 hours. Walking tour to Putre. . (Lunch, mineral water, dinner with Chilean wine).
DAY 2 - PUTRE - CHUNGARA LAKE – PUTRE FD.
Departure from hotel at 09:00 hours. Entering Lauca National Park, sight of exotic flora, short trekking at Las Cuevas area, visit to the typical village of Parinacota. Wild fauna and majestic scenery: the Payachatas volcanoes and Chungara Lake, the highest in the world (4.517 m.o.s.l), returning to Cotacotani Lagoons, Lunch. We will visit Jurasi hotspring. Return to Putre the same way, arriving in Putre at about 16:30 hour. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner with Chilean wine, mineral water).
DAY 3 - PUTRE - SURIRE SALT DEPOSIT - CARIQUIMA FD.
Departure from hotel at 09:00 hour, entering “Las Vicuñas National Reserve”. Panoramic view of Guallatiri volcano, visit to Surire salt deposit, sight of wild species. Free time for swimming at Polloquere hot spring in place out of doors (packed lunch). Visit Volcano Isluga National Park. Overnight in basic hostel i in Cariquima. Dinner. Lodge in Cariquima. (Breakfast, packet lunch, diner, mineral water).
DAY 4 – GIANTS - HUMBERSTONE EX NITRATE COMPANY – IQUIQUE FD.
Breakfast in Hostel. Departure from the hostel at 09:00 hour. Visit view point Chusmiza and Pachica, these are in the border of the Atacama Desert. Then we continue to Unitas hill, to observe the biggest Geogliphs in the area The Atacama Giants. Lunch in Huara. Visit to Humberstone Ex Nitrate Company and Santa Laura. Arrive to Iquique at 18:00 hours. (Breakfast, lunch, mineral water).
INCLUDES: Private vehicle, with oxygen equipment - bilingual guide (Spanish, English, German or French) - entrance tickets to sites and museum - meals described in the programme - 02 overnight in Putre - 01 overnight in Colchane.
